How to Register Your Business in Arizona

Register your business in Arizona in three easy steps:

  1. First, you’ll need to visit the AZTaxes website to set up your new user account.
  2. Once you’ve set up your account, you can click “Register New Business” to fill out your Arizona Joint Tax Application form.
  3. Once you received your withholding account, you can link it to your AZTaxes account online.
The Arizona Joint Tax Application form will allow you to register your business with the Department of Revenue (which handles income tax withholdings) and the Department of Economic Security (which handles unemployment taxes). It can take two to three weeks for these two departments to process your application.It’s important to remember that you are responsible for paying an unemployment tax once you’ve paid $1500 in wages in a single calendar quarter, or employed someone for a portion of a day in 20 weeks in a calendar year.The Arizona Department of Revenue and the Arizona Department of Economic Security will notify you when they’ve finished processing your application.
